Portia Wilson founded Deeper Genius Acupuncture & Healing Arts on a mission to help people access their deeper genius through the ancient, evidence-based practices of acupuncture, cupping, and herbal medicine.
Acupuncture targets the root imbalances of health concerns, gently activating your body’s innate healing systems to cultivate a balanced, calm, and energized you.
At Deeper Genius, we believe that when you’re able to resolve health concerns, reach your full potential, and show up authentically, you’re also bringing deeper healing to your communities and the world.

Portia R. Wilson, MSTCM L.Ac.
Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbalist
Portia Wilson (she/they) is a licensed acupuncturist and clinically-trained herbalist in Los Angeles, California. Driven to help others reach optimal health and wellbeing, she chose to specialize in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine for their holistic, evidence-based benefits, history of ancient use, and natural approach.
Serving a vibrant community of creatives, athletes, executives, caretakers, and wellness leaders in the Los Angeles area, Portia is a queer woman of color specializing in culturally-competent care for people of color and the LGBTQIA+ community. She is profoundly dedicated to the safety and peace of her community and is known for her warm, personable approach to her clients’ care.
Portia graduated magna cum laude from Emperor’s College, one of the top acupuncture schools in the United States, is a Howard University alumni, and a St. Louis native.
